Testing
Make sure to test SEPA Direct debit payments on your store first before going live.
By default, Stripe API is in Test mode, allowing you to place orders using demo cards to test payments.
🔔Note: We recommend using the “Test Mode (For administrators)” for testing. This enables Test mode for admin users only; other users like your shoppers remain in Live mode.
Try placing an order to test this payment method. On the checkout page, select SEPA.
Select the ‘SEPA Direct Debit’ payment option, enter the IBAN, and place the order now.
It’ll take a few seconds to authenticate your information.
Once done, it’ll direct you to the thank you page with a successful purchase.
Once you’ve set everything up and tested your payments, we recommend you switch to live mode.
You can do this by going to the WooCommerce Settings ⇨ Payments tab.
Continue to Stripe API Settings and change the mode to Admin Only Test or Live mode. This will help you collect real payments from customers in your WooCommerce store.
Save the changes once done.
