FunnelKit Pay supports all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club, American Express, JCB, UnionPay, and many more.
Configuration
Follow the step-by-step instructions to set up credit card payment options:
Step 1: Navigate to the Payments under WooCommerce Settings
Go to WooCommerce ⇨ Settings ⇨ Payments tab.
Click on Manage next to Stripe Gateway – Credit Card (Stripe).
Step 2: Configure the Credit Cards option
You’ll be directed to the Credit Cards section.
Check the box next to Enable Stripe Gateway.
Make sure to enter the title and description that will appear on the checkout page.
Step 3: Specify additional options for credit card payments
Select the Charge Type here:
- Charge: Select this option to charge your customers immediately
- Authorize: Select this option for your customers to approve each payment within a few days (max up to 7 days) – this option requires webhook integration
Here are a few additional options to configure:
- Inline Credit Card Form – A simple, embedded form for customers to enter their card details directly on the checkout page without redirects.
Standard Credit Card Form – Stripe’s basic credit card form with separate card number, expiry date and CVC fields embedded directly into the checkout page.
- Enhanced Payment Element – Stripe’s most advanced and recommended option for displaying credit card and other payment options. This payment element provides a more dynamic, optimized checkout experience, supporting multiple payment methods within a single, integrated form.
- Stripe Link Authentication – It allows returning customers to quickly log in with their saved payment details, enabling repeat purchases faster and more convenient. FunnelKit Pay offers three ways to incorporate its authentication:
- Stripe Link Authentication on Card field – Stripe link displays a small login prompt on the card entry field, allowing customers to log in to their Stripe Link account and access their saved payment information.
- Stripe Link Authentication on Billing email field – It provides a more prominent login prompt when customers enter their billing email. Once they log in, their saved payment methods are retrieved, allowing for a one-click checkout experience.
- None – Selecting none disables Stripe link authentication entirely. This option may be suitable if you prefer not to enable quick-access payment or if your audience is less likely to use Stripe link for repeat transactions.
Click on Save Changes when done.

Testing
Make sure to test your payments on your store first before going live.
By default, your Stripe API settings will have the Test mode enabled.
It means you can actually test your payments by placing orders with the help of demo cards.
Visit Stripe’s testing document to get information about demo card numbers.
After successful payment, you’ll be directed to the thank you page.
You can see the Credit Card (Stripe) payment method there:
Once you’ve set everything up and tested your payments, we recommend you switch to live mode.
You can do this by going to the WooCommerce Settings ⇨ Payments tab.
Continue to Stripe API Settings and change the mode from “Test” to “Live”.
You can also switch to Test mode for admin only that allows admin users to test transactions while shoppers in your store will be able to place their orders with real payments.
Save the changes once done.
